Sometimes It's Easier to Just Say It

Voice input turns your agent into a listener. Talk through your day, debrief a meeting, or think out loud. Your agent turns it into something useful.

by The Agency

Some things are easier to say than to type. The messy recap of a busy day. The half-formed idea you're still working through. The meeting you just walked out of where you made five commitments and can only remember three.

Your agent has a voice mode. Tap the microphone, talk, and your agent listens. Not to transcribe what you said, but to understand it and do something useful with it.

A journal you don't have to write

I've tried journaling apps. The blank page is always the problem. I know what happened today, I just don't feel like writing it all down. So I started talking to my agent instead.

At the end of the day, I tap the mic and talk through what happened. The meeting that ran long, the bug I finally fixed, the article I read at lunch, the errand I forgot to run. Stream of consciousness, no structure, no editing.

My agent listens to all of it and writes a journal entry. First person, narrative style, like I sat down and reflected on my day. It pulls in the right details, skips the filler, and gives me something I'd actually want to read back in a year.

I've been doing this for a few weeks now. It takes about two minutes of talking. The entries are better than anything I would have typed.

Thinking out loud

Not everything needs to be captured. Sometimes you just need to think through something, and talking helps.

I use voice mode when I'm stuck on a decision or trying to untangle a problem. I'll talk for a minute or two, explaining the situation the way I'd explain it to a colleague. My agent listens, then comes back with a summary of what I actually said, the key tensions, and the questions I haven't answered yet.

It's like rubber duck debugging, except the duck talks back. And it's surprisingly good at catching the thing you talked around but never said directly.

Meeting debrief

Right after a meeting, everything is fresh. Five minutes later, half of it is gone. An hour later, you're reconstructing commitments from memory.

Now I tap the mic while walking back to my desk. "Just got out of the product sync. We agreed to push the launch to next Thursday. I said I'd update the roadmap and send a revised timeline to the team. Maria is handling the customer comms. Oh, and we need to decide on the pricing tier by Wednesday."

That's 20 seconds of talking. My agent pulls out the action items, who owns them, and the deadlines. Clean, structured, nothing lost.

Explaining something technical

This one surprised me. I was trying to document a system I'd built, and I kept staring at an empty doc. So I opened my agent and just started explaining it out loud. How the pieces fit together, why I made certain tradeoffs, what someone new would need to know.

My agent took that rambling explanation and turned it into structured documentation. Sections, headings, the right level of detail. I edited maybe 20% of it. The rest was exactly what I would have written if I'd had the patience to write it.

This works for anything where you know the material but don't want to sit down and organize it. Architecture docs, onboarding guides, project briefs, even blog posts. Talk it through, let your agent structure it.

How it works

Tap the microphone icon in the chat. Record up to five minutes of audio. Preview it, then send. Your agent hears the audio directly, no transcription step, so tone, emphasis, and nuance all come through.

You can combine voice with text too. Send a voice message, then follow up with a typed message to refine the output. "Make the journal entry shorter" or "pull out just the action items."

The pattern

All of these boil down to the same thing: it's faster to talk than to type, and your agent is good at turning unstructured speech into structured output. Journals, summaries, action items, documentation.

You don't need to organize your thoughts first. That's your agent's job.
